At the heart of our newly opened D Ranch Preserve, a special vision is taking shape:
The D Ranch Nature Center.
This will be more than a building. It will be a gateway into the wild beauty of Florida and a gathering place for the community.
The D Ranch Nature Center will Be:
A place to connect: Where Floridians of all ages can meet, learn, and then step outside into miles of protected wild lands. A welcoming place for visitors to gather before setting out on trails, learning how each step connects them more deeply to the land.
A classroom for wild Florida: Featuring interactive exhibits, guided programs, and hands-on experiences that bring our state’s unique wild wonders right to you.
A community treasure: A hub for families, schools, and visitors to enjoy, giving our region a new space for recreation, learning, and conservation.
And with your support, we can make it a reality. Your help is needed to close a $400,000 funding gap and kick off construction of the $2.5 million Nature Center building.

PHASE 1
Breaking ground in 2026, the first phase will create a welcoming, 8,000-square-foot center with a classroom, exhibit space, and a wraparound porch overlooking the preserve, all supported by ADA-accessible gardens and entryways. Doors are expected to open in 2027.
The D Ranch Nature Center will be more than walls and windows — it’s being designed as a space that keeps you connected to the beauty of wild Florida, even indoors.
Phase 2
Future plans will expand the center into a true education center, with interactive exhibits, scenic overlooks, and improved trails and equestrian access.
