About this event

Join Conservation Florida and Conrad Wysocki, Volusia County Senior Forester at Florida Forest Service, for an exciting day at D Ranch Preserve

You'll be joined by Conservation Florida staff and prescribed fire expert, Conrad Wysocki, on a guided hike to experience wild Florida and learn about the importance of prescribed fires in nature.

During this guided hike participants will learn more about what it takes to conserve land and steps to take to preserve it forever. Prescribed burns are a key component of managing land in Florida. Prescribed fire expert, Conrad Wysocki, and Conservation Florida staff will explain how fire on D Ranch Preserve will be beneficial to the land by reducing likelihood of forest fires, help the growth of pine trees, improve habitat for wildlife, and much more.

We are following recommended guidelines from the CDC to provide a safe and enjoyable Wild Walk!
