For the first time ever, we're opening the gates to a Conservation Florida preserve—and you're invited!

This 476-acre property is a living example of conservation in action—complete with miles of trails, blooming native wildflowers, and signs of wild Florida residents like gopher tortoises and Florida black bears.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭:
– Guided hikes
– Family-friendly activities
– Plenty of space to relax and reconnect with nature

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠:
Closed-toed shoes, a refillable water bottle, and a lawn chair for the program.

𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠:
Parking is available on-site, with overflow lots across the street and down the road. Volunteers will be there to help direct traffic. If you're able, please use an overflow lot to leave close spots for guests who need them most.

Friends of Boyd Hill will introduce our honorary guests — birds of prey! Get up close & personal and learn about these incredible creatures and the vital importance of protecting their habitat.


Local artist Alyssa Marie will be on-site selling her stunning, one-of-a-kind wildlife prints, capturing the beauty of Florida’s natural world.

Wild Walks: Cold-Blooded Critter Crawl

Unleash your inner adventurer and join fellow reptile and amphibian aficionados on October 14th for a chilling and thrilling nighttime hike amidst the eerie environs of D Ranch Preserve, our 476-acre preserve just outside of Orlando.

Date: Saturday, October 14th
Location: D Ranch Preserve, 2655 Reed Ellis Rd, Osteen, FL 32764
Time: 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Tickets: Suggested donation of $10 MUST RSVP

As the sun sets and the weather cools, we will embark on a hike to explore the mesic and scrubby flatwoods, wet prairie, and wetlands of D Ranch and learn about the captivating life of Florida's cold-blooded critters.

The Cold-Blooded Critter Crawl is not just a hike! It’s an educational journey where you’ll gain insight into the diverse species of reptiles and amphibians that inhabit the region. Interact with fellow enthusiasts, share stories and experiences, and even capture photographs of your cold-blooded encounters.

What to Bring
Safety and preparedness are key for this nocturnal adventure! Equip yourselves with sturdy field gear to tread the diverse terrains of the preserve. A flashlight or headlamp is a must to light up the path and spot these intriguing creatures in their natural habitat.

Don’t let this opportunity vanish into thin air! Carve out time in your calendar and creep over to the D Ranch Preserve on October 14th for an afternoon brimming with exploration, education, and eerie excitement.
