Conservation Florida and UF Thompson Earth Systems Institute’s Scientist in Every Florida School program are partnering to bring the Great Florida Backyard Bioblitz online! Together, we’ll explore the backyards and neighborhoods of some very interesting Floridians through the use of Zoom and Facebook Live.
The live series was created for families with school-aged children. However, anyone can take part in the free webinars and Facebook Live events.
Join us on Thursday, April 16 at 3 p.m. for the first in this four-part series.
Your event hosts will include Trac i Deen, Conservation Florida’s executive director, joined by Brian Abramowitz and Stephanie Killingsworth, K-12 education and outreach coordinators for Scientist in Every Florida School. Special guest Peter Kleinhenz, host of the online video series Wild Wander, will be conducting a live Bioblitz from his neighborhood near Tallahassee.
In addition to the live series, anyone can take part in the Great Florida Backyard Bioblitz, which runs through May 1st.
